We had a great atmosphere from start to finish, starting out with good squash from our members alongside ex-Hertfordshire county players Harry grew up playing with during the 30+ person round robin across six courts filled with enjoyment.
To then have the talented Daryl Selby, Ben Coleman, Adrian Waller and Miles Jenkins putting on some amazing exhibition matches for us all to enjoy, giving up their time to support the event also donating amazing prizes. On the topic of thanking those involved, I would like to say a huge thanks to:
- Daryl, Ben, Adrian and Miles – All four didn’t hesitate when asked whether they would give up their time to support and participate in the event, opting to give signed Commonwealth and English t-shirts.
- 305SQUASH - Designing and allowing the majority of people to buzz around in Harry’s colours all afternoon. They are great quality, and we look forward to seeing people wearing them for years to come at the club.
- Adam Fuller – This event would not have been anything like it was without Adam being as prevalent as he is in the squash world, connecting the dots and making everything top calibre!
- John Shaw, Mark Shattock and Richard Carr – Supporting in the organisation, decision making of the whole event.
- Dunlop Squash, Berkhamsted Sports, England Squash for sharing awareness and providing excellent raffle prizes including brand new squash rackets, Semi-Final 2023 British Open tickets and 2023 Canary Wharf Quarter Final tickets!
We are proud to have raised £3,390 for C-R-Y in memory of Harry, this allows for C-R-Y to screen 57 young people’s hearts!
We are keeping the JustGiving page open until the 28th February 2023, if you would like to add to the donations please visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/josh-ryan4
